The Life Goddess is a cute little spot you can find in the middle of what I call one of the foodie havens, Kingly Court. Kingly Court is a well-known area surrounded by many bars and restaurants, and The Life Goddess has a great spot on the 1st floor. As soon as you go in, you feel the warmth in the décor, ambience and people. They are all very friendly and helpful. We visited on a Sunday evening, and it was pretty busy, but we managed to get a lovely table in the middle of the restaurant, not too far from the kitchen, so we got glimpses of what was happening there. We started with some drinks – I had a lovely fresh strawberry lemonade. They have a good selection of soft drinks, so I was pretty happy. Even though I don’t drink alcohol, I always check their alcoholic drinks menu, and I can tell you there is plenty on offer for all. They have an extensive selection of wines and a great display of bottles there, so all of you wine lovers out there, this should be an excellent place for you! The star of the show for us was the starters. We had the Greek meze, including hummus, tzatziki, fava, tyrokafteri, Greek salad, feta, olives, and bread. I cannot stop thinking about how amazing it was! I’d go there again just for this platter! Great ingredients, all tasted super fresh, and a good portion! For the mains, I was somewhat disappointed, as they run out of the 2 dishes I really wanted to try, however, we found 2 other options on the menu that sounded quite good. We ended up having the lamb souvlaki and the dish of the day, which was the lamb shank. Quite good options, too – I preferred the lamb souvlaki, as it came with sweet pita bread, baby potatoes, and tzatziki. Of course, we ended it with desserts and had the chocolate and peanut butter mosaic with berries. This was a lovely dessert and excellent blend of chocolate, peanut butter, biscuits and frozen berries, with sauce drizzle. All in all, this was a great visit and a great option for date night. I recommend visiting their website to learn more about their food and wine corner. You can eat in or take out, so go ahead and enjoy!
