Help us review a Japanese Robata-style restaurant, BAKU that advocates the sharing-plate culture, traditional Robata barbecue and Yakatori style from the Far East. The elegant interiors across this bi-leveled place are thoughtfully designed - from the inverted Japanese parasols on the ceiling and warm color palette to the locally-handcrafted cutlery and century-old furnishing.
Offering a glimpse of Japanese dining, this swanky, SouthPark-area lounge and restaurant beckons with wafts of charcoal-grilled Japanese delights (everything from beef to chicken livers) and its fresh, interesting maki rolls and sashimi. Specialties on offer include Kurobuta Pork Belly, Baby Back Ribs, Wild Mushroom Kamamashi Pot and Gokujo Tuna. The hot options range from traditional miso soup with mushroom, green onions and tofu to tempura tiger prawns and shrimps with spicy sesame and cilantro puree.
The restaurant also has an extensive array of premium sakes, in addition to cocktails; the wine list was all hand selected by the sommelier – to pair perfectly with the cuisine.
