TRENDY THAI

I’d never heard of this place, but it kept pippin’ up on My alerts & social media stuff. After checking out some videos, the place looked legit. I was disappointed to find that they don’t take reservations for 1 person. After commenting as much on social media, the owner, Khun Kasem, was kind enough to personally make a reservation for me. In the end, a friend ended up going, anyway, but it’s the thought that counts. We ordered the beef salad,, tom yom soup with chicken, beef panang & beef with black pepper garlic. While I truly enjoyed everything, my friend was slightly less enthused. While he admitted that it was possible the best Thai food he’d had in San Francisco, he’s not really a fan of Thai food. He prefers Japanese & Korean, neither of which I can stand. Service was fine; prices were slightly higher than other Thai restaurants that are similar. If you’re planning to go, show up as soon as they open or make a reservation, as the place was PACKED for Sunday lunch. I’ll be back to try some other dishes.
