The wine list in this restaurant got my husband really really excited! From Champagne to Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire, Sauternes and more, they have so many varieties for you to choose from.
If you are not a wine expert like me, just ask the waitress for suggestions about which one goes well with your food. We love the wine in L’ardoise, not to mention that their food is fantastic too.
For dessert, we paired it with a glass of dessert wine. It just came out perfect.
The restaurant is cozy and romantic. You could enjoy your wine in the bar or at a dining table. I suggest you make a reservation ahead of time. We visited on a Thursday and the tables were filled out quick at dinner time!
A bit more about the restaurant:
L'Ardoise is a French bistro in San Francisco, serving traditional and authentic fare in a cozy atmosphere.
The restaurant was launched in March 2008 by Chef Clement, who had acquired a taste for fresh, simple food that makes the pride of his hometown’s (he was born in French Alps) artisan products and his mother’s home cooking. L'Ardoise has been a neighborhood favorite since then, receiving great reviews from both diners and professional critics. And it has even been featured in the Michelin guide!
