UJI TIME IS THE BEST TIME

Uji Time has landed in LA and it’s that of the soft serve in Japan. Not overly sweet, it’s perfect for a hot day. You’ll have the option of a taiyaki cone which is traditional in the shape of a fish, filled with Nutella or red bean. I got the tofu soft serve which tastes exactly like vanilla and my husband opted for the matcha and black sesame together. Toppings can range from matcha powder, mochi, and pocky sticks! If you’re in Downtown LA’s Little Tokyo, pop on into the Galleria for a treat this summer! *Located on the ground level.

A bit more about Uji Time Dessert: Uji Time Dessert first opened in Berkeley in 2016. These days, the company is on an expansion kick. The new locations include Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Mateo, Newark, Pleasanton, and now SoMa. Hours are Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:30 am to 9:30 pm. Uji Time's name refers to a city on the outskirts of Kyoto. This sweets shop serves Japanese fusion style desserts, taking fresh-baked taiyaki — traditional Japanese fish-shaped cakes typically stuffed with fillings like red bean paste — and stuffing them with soft serve, treating them like cones. Flavors include black sesame, tofu, and rich, dark green matcha. Come and try this new treat! You're gonna love it :)
