Harborview has a prime location in downtown San Francisco right across from the Ferry Building. From the balcony, you can enjoy panoramic views of the harbor and the bay bridge. Speaking of the interior, it can be described as sophisticated and well balanced with a variety of table sizes and private rooms for whatever the occasion may be.

As for the service, it was top-notch making us feel absolutely comfortable and relaxed. The hostess was quick to seat us and shared with us their specially curated 5-course tasting of a sample banquet menu accompanied by some hot Jasmine tea. The pumpkin pine nut soup was a great starter, steamy hot and a feel good smooth texture. Then came the chilled jellyfish salad which was very refreshing and tasty. Their signature salt and pepper crab was a bit messy and hard to eat all the crab meat, but the fried crab back was so delicious and the best part of the dish. The next dish came with a spectacular presentation, such that you can tell they put a lot of effort into their creations. It was a slice of chinese melon (squash) hallowed out, filled with bean curd, and topped with a dried jujube, all steamed to perfection. Finally came the dessert which was a bowl of black sesame mochi in a warm sweet almond soup. While writing and reminiscing on this review I'm already thinking about when I can go again and taste more of the dishes from their expansive menu. Thanks Harborview for the outstanding meal!
