La Tua Pasta

After a long day at work and a long commute home (being a key worker) coming home to a box of fresh pasta and sauces from La Tua was exactly what I needed. There is nothing like fresh pastas and sauces.

These pastas are absolutely delicious. We received the fresh egg tagliatelle pasta and the truffle tortellini, with a fresh tomato pasta sauce and a sage and butter. The tagliatelle- the pasta takes 4-5 minutes to cook, so it's perfect for a nice fresh and quick meal. I combined this with the fresh tomato based pasta sauce. I added in some nice spicy chorizo to give the sauce a little kick. The pasta was delicious topped with the sauce and some parmesan. The sauce had so much flavour in it- garlic, onions and tomatoes it really complimented the pasta so well. You could use it as is or add in some mince for a bolognaise or some Italian cured meats. Served up with a red wine it was a perfect quick and easy meal. The truffle and ricotta tortellini- If you are looking for some indulgence then look no further than this pasta. I decided to create a burnt butter sauce using the sage and butter pot that came in the order. I added in some bacon for a little bit of crunch texture. The pasta took 4-5 minutes to cook and the sauce took 10 minutes to bring together. The pasta was so soft and indulgent, the truffle flavour really shone through. It was so moreish and made you feel like you were sitting in your favourite Italian restaurant. I would highly recommend La Tua pasta.
