Crosstown Collective: Local Goodness delivered to your door!

There are loads of things that this quarantine has taught me, one of which is trying to make a conscious effort to shop more locally and less globally.

In quarantine times, I'd go to my local shops to buy fruit and veg, seek more sustainable options to source dairies and meats and more. It's in these times that I first heard about Crosstown Collective. Crosstown is an institution in London and everyone knows them for their legendary doughnuts (you haven't been to London if you haven't tried them at least once). However, like many other businesses, they have also managed to take it one step further and partner up with other local businesses to deliver unique food boxes to their clients and followers. This is how Crosstown Collective was born. A variety of artisan food essentials, available for delivery to your doorstep seven days a week. From milk to bread, to veggies and fruit and obviously the unmissable doughnuts). The Collective Box is perfect for families and you can be sure of its quality as all the items come from some of the best brands and companies in London – The Estate Dairy, Millers Bakery, Cacklebean Eggs, Caravan Coffee Roasters and more. We received the Collective Box Original for our review and I couldn't believe how much stuff came with it. £49.95 will get you a wide selection of Fruit & Veg (everything was super fresh and you could tell it was good quality), eggs, 2l bottles of Estate Dairy Milk, Lescure Butter (this was just incredible), White Farmhouse Bread, Round Rosemary Focaccia, Campailou Bread, 4 Half Ciabatta, Ground Coffe and last (but obviously not least) 6 x Crosstown Doughnuts. All produce is seasonal, which means you will be supporting local businesses who operate in a sustainable way, and you can literally taste it's quality whatever you decide to make with it. I used most of the veggies for curry, baked some carrot madeleine, tried the bread in multiple ways (from bruschettas to French toast) and there was nothing I didn't enjoy. The doughnuts accompanied by a fresh cup of Caravan coffee were literally the cherry on top, as fresh and delicious as I remembered them to be, making our quarantine days a little sweeter. Trust me, you won't regret it!
