I am from Hong Kong and I absolutely miss Asian food and my nearest Chinese supermarket is miles away and my local Tesco’s isn’t offering authentic Asian food either. Plus, in this current climate I don’t particularly feel too safe to travel out to central London to visit China Town, but thanks to Eatoo I was able to order fresh Asian food with ease! I was also able to try out things that I would never imagine I could try from my own home.

Eatoo is a delivery service that specialises in East Asian food and food kits straight to your home. Their in-house team works hard to foster close relationships with honest and trustworthy suppliers to source beautiful, quality ingredients for their customers as well. You can choose to try a couple of typical Asian feasts such as: Chinese Hot Pot, Korean Budae Jjigae, Japanese Sukiyaki or just a plain old BBQ. They also just offer fresh meat and seafood or even just a typical Asian snack or a bubble tea ice-cream. I had a tough time choosing what to have since there’s a crazy amount of choices to choose from! I have ended up with: • Salmon Fillet (cleaned) 200g • Kewpie Deep-Roasted Sesame Dressing (No MSG) 150ml • Gindara Misoyaki (Black cod, uncooked) 150g • Longan (Dragon Eye) 500g • USDA Beef Brisket • Sukiyaki Set • Mooli Cut 200g The delivery arrived super quickly and I couldn’t wait to try! Unfortunately, they were not able to fulfill my delivery for Longan due to the quality not being up to Eatoo’s standards, however, they have offered to refund me. I had also received lots of free gifts from Eatoo including two Eatoo aprons, a special ladle for scooping up food when I have my sukiyaki, some Chinese potato noodles for my sukiyaki and some fresh papaya! The papaya really made my day, I ate it immediately with some yoghurt! I was particularly impressed with the Gindara Misoyaki, it felt like something I could only eat in an upscale Japanese restaurant and it came with the easiest cooking instructions. It seriously doesn’t even take long to cook a delicious meal. I would definitely recommend anyone to try this once! I have also managed to have a Sukiyaki by myself in this heat, Sukiyaki is definitely more of a winter delicacy in Japan but I couldn’t stop eating it from my pot. The kit was super easy to assemble, it came with a frozen soup base which tastes absolutely delicious when cooked. It didn’t take long for it to start boiling then I started to add my ingredients that came with the set. Tofu, Chinese Cabbage, Leeks, Konjac, Shiitake Mushrooms, Enoki Mushrooms and USDA beef brisket. They didn’t have crown daisy so they managed to swap it out for Pak Choi which I think really compliments the sukiyaki as well, to be honest. I let all the ingredients simmer and not long after my meal was ready! The soup base was so delicious and I was so delighted to find all the ingredients soaking up all the flavour from the soup. There was so much food that I have decided to keep and eat as my lunch the next day with a bowl of jasmine rice. I immediately told my friends after this and decided to have another sukiyaki again the next week and ordering straight from Eatoo again! I definitely recommend it!
