Fantastic deep tissue massage at Linnaean Living
Located in the trendy Nine Elms area of Battersea, London, Linnaean Living is a total beauty boutique offering a cafe experience alongside hair, body and beauty treatments. From the moment their decorative floral ceiling caught my eye on social media, I've been looking forward to visiting them. I've been working from home for over five months now, since the lockdown started, so a nice relaxing spot of me-time to pamper myself was long overdue. With that in mind, visiting Linnaean Living for one of their treatment sessions absolutely made my day!
They offer a variety of beauty sessions including nails, waxing, facial and body massages. I went for the deep tissue massage to release some of the tension around my neck, shoulders and lower back.
The treatment started with a thorough consultation about my body, skin condition and mental health. The therapist was very friendly and knowledgeable - I got some very practical and reliable skin advice for my eczema, which was something unexpected and very helpful!
The decor in the treatment room was very pretty, with lots of floral wallpaper, relaxing aromas, healing music, fluffy towels and pillows all contributing to a rich, fulfilling experience. The 30 minute massage was so heavenly my body felt light as a feather afterwards.
Following the treatment, I had a chance to try out their cafe for a drink and picked the Virgin Tiki from their delicious mocktail selection. Containing a mix of Seedlip Spice Pineapple and Citrus, the refreshing taste was perfect for quenching that after-treatment thirst. Without a doubt, I'd love to come back for their healthy plant-based cafe menu one day!
