Octo London soy wax candles: Safe for my sensitive skin
Since spending so much time at home this past year, I've been burning through candles like there's no tomorrow. In every room of my flat, you'll find at least two scented candles... even in the bathroom - I'm obsessed! Unfortunately for me, I have a skin allergy which can be triggered by scented candles, as well as air fresheners and diffusers - so I'm limited to the brands I can purchase from. I tend to opt for more natural based candles, that aren't made with any harsh chemicals that may irritate my skin.
Octo London are an independent business, based in SE London, that hand make soy wax candles. Each candle is made with natural ingredients and are both vegan friendly and cruelty free. There's a range of scents and candle sizes to choose from, available in amber jars or with wood wicks. Midnight Breeze combines the sweetness of rose geranium with earthy notes of patchouli. The scent is very calming and therapeutic, so I thought the bedroom was the perfect room to place it. Eucalyptus and Mint is such a wonderful combination of scents, I love to burn this in the bathroom as it has a real spa like aroma to it. Now that we're entering Spring, Italian Garden brings the smell of the Tuscan country side into your home. Made with a blend of Rosemary, Sweet Orange and Sage essential oils. I'm really impressed with the quality of these candles, they make my home fragrant without feeling over powering. I definitely want to try the wood wick candles once they are back in stock - these are very popular!
