Once I had opened the carefully hand tied box with the personalised ribbon, I was left completely speechless. Each macaron is hand painted. Yes, on such a small and delicate macaron, this talented artist and baker had hand painted the most elaborate and detailed flowers.
Each macaron was more beautiful than the next. I was astonished by how three macarons even had gold leaf on them. It gave them an even more luxurious feel and special touch. The macarons shimmer in the sunlight, the edible glitter filled me with a glimmering joy and excitement. The most impressive thing about this box of macarons was that there was not just one design. They were interesting and different and beautiful from one to the next. I literally have never consumed something so stunning. It took quite a while to convince myself to actually take a bite of this art, but once I did, I was in my little foodie heaven. This is exactly what I would want heaven to look like, pretty macaroons with roses on them! Yes please!! The shells were perfectly crispy then went right to being the right about of chewy from the first bite. The filling in the middle was absolutely insane. There was a range of fun and exciting flavours, which made me even more eager to try the next one. It was a thick consistency but not too thick that it was overbearing. It was just the perfect level of hard and soft and creamy. The flavours, the texture and the detail of these macarons was just mind blowing. I really appreciate the time and the skills that were invested into making these pretty little bites.
