Octo Candles for creativity
Octo candles are so cute, they came in the most adorable jar holders, and smelt divine! I popped one in my bathroom and an unexpected surprise was how many ideas came to me just lounging in the tub with the delicious candle burning. I’ve always believed in aromatherapy, but it was still a nice surprise, once my bathroom filled with the yummy smell of fennel and grapefruit, I was out of my busy life and completely in the zone.
We chose Sweater weather for a cosy afternoon movie, we decided to watch rules of attraction that day, not sure why. The smells were lovely and fresh unlike the dated film (what was Dawsons’s problem?). The highlight of that evening was more the ambiance of winter, and changing the scent from fennel & grapefruit to caederwood and juniper Berry. However the beautiful sweet woody smell couldn’t mask the terrible movie we were watching, the vacuous storylines, and Dawsons’ psycotic eyebrow twitch. We decided to call in the big guns and lit the third candle. May Chay and Rosemerry made us forget just how bad the ending was, and the ‘not-quite-angelina’ ‘oooooh look at me I smoke and shave my head but am also really needy’. It really was a bad movie. Instead of dwelling on it, we focused on our other senses, soothed into a meditative trance we slowly fell asleep but also remembered to check we didn’t leave the candle burning. These candles are amazing, I would recommend them highly, not so much in the movie.
