Planet Doughnuts - Mixed Vegan Box
I've recently had the pleasure of reviewing some vegan doughnuts from Planet Doughnut and would love to share my thoughts!
Since going vegan, it's hard to find comfort foods that don't have a large price tag attached to them, so there was very little (no) hesitation from me to review these doughnuts. I ordered the 6x mixed vegan doughnut box which contained: * OG Glazed * Planet D Party * Caramel Brownie * Chocolate Biscoff * Jammie Dodger * Cookies & Cream Upon opening the box, I was very surprised at the size of these doughnuts. Planet Doughnut have made a great sized doughnut and have definitely not scrimped on the filling or icing, making these a great value for money. All of the doughnuts were fresh and very fluffy inside. With some vegan products, you can taste the difference but no, not these. These were just as tasty but with the added bonus of containing no animal products! OG Glazed - This is a simple glazed doughnut but definitely doesn't make it any less delicious than the others. Planet D Party - Amazing to look at and immediately spotty by my 4 year old, this was one of my favourites doughnuts. Coated with purple raspberry-flavoured icing, topped with sprinkles and party rings, this doughnut gave me a wonderful sense of nostalgia. Caramel Brownie - Stuffed with a gooey caramel centre and topped with chocolate icing, a brownie chunk and more caramel, this one was very sweet so definitely not for the light-hearted! Chocolate Biscoff - Another doughnut which had the middle filled to the brim with gorgeous caramel, with a chocolate icing and topped with biscuit crumb and 2 full-sized Lotus biscuits. Jammie Dodger - This one was my favourite! The centre of the doughnut was filled with strawberry jam and a whole strawberry, combined with a deliciously sweet strawberry icing, topped with a biscuit crumb and a jammy dodger biscuit. Although there was a lot of different textures and filling, this one was perfectly thought of and wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet - I very much struggled to share this one! Cookies & Cream - This one was a lovely surprise. I cut through the middle of it to find it oozing with a delicious creamy middle. It is topped with icing, a biscuit crumb and an oreo biscuit. There would be no hesitation from me to order these again for a special occasion and I've already recommended them to friends and family. Due to the size and amount of filling inside them, there is an excellent value for money.
