Crosstown - Doughnut Mind If I Do!
If you haven’t visited Crosstown before, what are you waiting for? A visit to their London Bridge doughnut truck and ice cream trike it a must! Crosstown’s signature sourdough doughnuts are to die for, and so are their handcrafted cookies! If you have a serious sweet tooth like I do, you will absolutely adore all the Crosstown treats on offer. They are my favourite doughnuts in London! I can’t walk past their trucks or stores without picking up one of my faves or trying their new creations.
On our visit to the London Bridge truck, we chose a box of six doughnuts, which were; homemade raspberry jam, cinnamon scroll, raspberry & lychee, blueberry & lemon, dark chocolate truffle and Tongan vanilla bean glaze. The chocolate truffle doughnut is my go to choice; vegan sourdough, filled with chocolate truffle, topped in dark chocolate ganache. It's so indulgent! I also loved the new lemon & blueberry cake doughnut, which filled with compote and topped with blueberry glaze & blue vanilla crumble. It's so different to their signature sourdough doughnuts, a perfect summer treat! We also picked up a box of their freshly baked cookies which are; chocolate chip, oat & apricot and peanut butter & chocolate. My favourite was the oat & apricot which took me completely by surprise. It was crispy on the outside & soft on the inside, packed with oats, dried apricot pieces & bitter dark chocolate chips. Delicious! Did you know Crosstown launched their own small batch ice cream last year? It’s quickly become a favourite with Londoners, their ice cream trikes are popping up all over London. Unfortunately, the ice cream was still frozen solid when we arrived for our menu tasting. We was too keen, arriving just as they opened. Drop by half an hour or so after opening to ensure the ice cream is scoopable, it will be worth the wait I promise! I’d recommend the Crosstown cookie dough ice cream; creamy Madagascan vanilla packed with chunks of their own cookie dough & chocolate chips. It’s soo dreamy! I love that Crosstown keep expanding their menu, creating more exciting products for us to enjoy. My friend is vegan and she raved about all the vegan doughnuts, cookie & ice cream choices available! It's amazing they are offering a variety of treats to suit every taste and diet!
