Breakfast is my absolute favourite meal of the day. Whether sweet or savoury, breakfast with coffee always makes me feel good, and there are so many options to choose from (often with minimum effort, if you’re making them yourself). When I was offered a selection of breakfast goodies from The Ludlow Nut Company to try out, I couldn’t say no! Here are the breakfasts I’ve made (so far!) with products from their range: Luxury Granola: Hazelnut Crunch (Ludlow) with Greek yoghurt, honey, desiccated coconut (Ludlow) and caramel chocolate drops Luxury Muesli: Blueberry (Ludlow) and some milk chocolate covered Brazil nuts (Ludlow) on the side, with an iced coffee Luxury Granola: Hazlenut Crunch (Ludlow) with Greek yoghurt, honey, desiccated coconut (Ludlow), and peanut and coconut butter (Ludlow), with a flat white and a plain croissant The granola is a combination of toasted hazelnuts, toasted oats, three different seeds, sweetened with organic dark blue raw agave syrup, a healthier alternative to table sugar. The granola with Greek yoghurt and honey was my favourite, and I’m looking forward to adding fresh fruit to the mix. It was also a real treat adding the coconut and the peanut & coconut butter, produced using freshly milled hi-oleic peanuts, lightly toasted tropical coconut flakes and a dash of Himalayan pink salt. The muesli is made with moist blueberries, oats, cereals and a host of fruit and nuts. It was so filling, so the perfect way to start the day. The Brazil nuts were a little too sweet for me - I probably should’ve gone for the dark chocolate option, as there is a thick layer of chocolate around the nut. I also can’t wait to make coconut bread with their desiccated coconut (try it if you love banana bread). The Ludlow Nut Company is definitely worth trying if you’re looking for healthy breakfasts that you won’t find in the big supermarkets - now I just need to try their porridge!
