A truly unforgettable Japanese experience

Last week My and my husband visited 3AKE on Brick Lane, specialising in Sake and Sushi, while we are not big fans of Sake , we do love our Sushi, and 3AKE did not disappoint. 3AKE sits casually on Brick Lane, its decor is clean and so pretty.

The menu is designed by Michelin star chef, Gustavo Vandsbergs, and the food is worthy of a Michelin star. We started with a Sashimi Platter, which included salmon, sea bass, tuna and yellowtail tuna. The neat and thinly sliced fish was delicious and fresh. We mixed up each bite with soy sauce, wasabi and slices of ginger. My favourite was the salmon, full of flavour, exquisite. We had a selection of sushi, 24k Golden Black Dragon, Rainbow Sushi and Tuna Nest. The Golden Black Dragon was divine and the best Sushi we have had. It was smokey and had a crunch from the prawn, yet smooth and creamy, it was truly exquisite. The Rainbow Sushi was similar, featuring the crunchy breaded prawn but smooth from the avocado, each piece was delicious. Lastly the Tuna Nest, the tuna was amazing and luscious, while the nest gave it a crunch. The contrasting textures were amazing, overall the Sushi was the star of the show and a glimpse into why the chef was on the Michelin Guide. Our main course Salmon Teriyaki and Beef Shogoyaki, were scrumptious. We’ve had a truly unforgettable time at 3AKE, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special and treated us really nicely. I would 100% recommend a visit, you will not regret it.
