Quadra is a new pizza concept nestled in leafy Parson's Green, about a ten-minute walk from my front door. I had passed a few times but lockdown had meant that the restaurant was only offering take out. Luckily we were able to try a dine-in experience and it was without a doubt gourmet quality food in a beautiful open clean space with attentive staff and a relaxed homely atmosphere.
We started with a white peach bellini, a Campari spritz and a bowl of olives. Then made our way done the vast and varied menu. Everything is made in house from scratch and there are vegetarian and vegan options too. We shared the Tris di Fritti which consisted of three generous portions of the truffled arancini balls, the vegan vegetable crochet and a frittata. The last item being a square of crumbed and deep-fried bucatini with pistachio and mortadella, served with a creamy sauce. We loved this so much, crunchy on the outside with a creamy centre and packed full of flavour. We also shared the homemade aubergine parmigiana. This is traditionally served as a baked layered aubergine dish smothered with flavourful tomato sauce and a creamy béchamel. Quadra's updated version did not disappoint and I could easily order this as a main! We then shared a variety of pizza, including the truffle, marinara, palate & provola, prosciutto & funghi and capricciosa. I loved the truffle and I am super excited to try the vegan version (as I'd love to know how it compares). We were both huge fans of the potato and provolone which I'm currently craving. I loved the truffle and my husband really enjoyed the capricciosa. We were so full by this point that I was concerned I'd not be able to squeeze in dessert. Although I'm very happy that I did. The mini cannoli were came in three distinct flavours: chocolate, pistachio&ricotta and lemon&mint. I was blown away by how flavourful these light and airy bites were. We also shared a tiramisu which was traditional and not overly sweet. I loved everything we tried at Quadra and it will definitely become one of my local favourites. The service is attentive and hospitable and the surroundings are clean and well kept. I can't rave about this enough.
