Bridgerton Brunching

Brunching, and Bridgerton. One is a post lockdown excitement that is now reigniting across London and the other a lockdown guilty pleasure. Why not mix the two and your bound to have an exciting event of both intrigue and great fun!

That is exactly what Impossible Things UK are great at. They bring a wonderland of creative, immersive entertainment with an exciting mix of live music, alongside party games, circus acts and singalongs. Upon booking you are given your brief on what character you are to play on the afternoon, complete with your character traits. We therefore make our way and immediately on arrival you are blown away by the setting for the afternoon, a super regal Grade II listed regency house, sitting on the banks of the Thames (very Bridgerton!). We knock at the door and the foot woman greets us. We are asked for our names and are then led through the oak panelled library of the beautiful house to the soundtrack of the series, creating a sense of spectacle and mystery on what is about to ensue. Led into the gardens, we are announced as Mr Beethoven (the musician known to the Queen and slightly deaf) and Susie Seddon (an actress full of drama). We take our seats in the regal gardens and are served our deliciously fresh gin cocktail and fruit water whilst the super friendly staff do their introductions and information on the afternoons entertainment. The tables were neatly arranged around a circus stage and created a sense of excitement. We wait for the other guests to arrive as we get into character and are delighted to be introduced to the furry friend, Merlin, a cavapoo who of course we had to pet and make a fuss over. The first of the entertainment started with a spectacular ariel hoop acrobat suspended in air as the buffet was laid out before us. The food was a lovely mix of sweet and savory options including creamy peppery eggs and cress sandwiches and avocado and tomato rounds. There were cupcakes and tarts and a selection of savories to keep you satisfied during the afternoon's entertainment. The hosts were brilliant and superb, introducing Bridgerton themed interactive activities to keep the guests excited and intrigued. The actresses and staff mingled with all the characters and guests to create a wonderful vibe in keeping with the fully immersive Bridgerton theme! The Opera singing and the Queen’s entry were lovely surprises and we loved the fact that games were created to ensure guests could be mixed and talk to each other. The acrobatics, promenading of the guests to the Queen and the games were carefully thought out and made the afternoon a lot of fun. Chilled prosecco was flowing throughout the afternoon with freshly squeezed orange juice and helped characters loosen up. Impossible Things Entertainment really know how to create a fun filled themed event I would definitely be back to try out their other themes, Brilliant afternoon - Thanks guys.
