PocketSquare Opening Night
Ever wanted to feel like you're on holiday while at home in the UK? Well, Pocketsquare's rooftop terrace and bar is the perfect place to be! I was invited to the exclusive opening party for a brand-new, east London rooftop destination bar, PocketSquare Skyline Bar & Terrace. It is located on the 9th floor of the new Hyatt Place London City East hotel and just a short stroll from Aldgate East station.
From the moment I entered the bar, I was taken back by the incredible views of the London skyline from the bar/terrace area making it the perfect spot to take pictures for Instagram or to just enjoy an evening drink watching the sunset. After being greeted by the friendly front team, I was offered a selection of drinks and cocktails to welcome us in. Also available on the tables were some nibbles, some of which are available on their menu. The Plantain Chips with spiced tomato chutney was delicious and could eat that again! There was a DJ for the night playing the tunes and setting the scene throughout the night we were also entertained with live music from the singer @tertiamay. So that we didn't get too carried away with the cocktails we were also served an array of food such as: - Crab Salad - Tomato & Burrata Salad - Smoked cured, vodka infused salmon - Duck Salad - Tiger Prawn Tempura with Sweet Chilli sauce - Beef Sliders - Cheese Tortelonni with truffle & Egg yolk - Muddled meringue - Chocolate Mousse - Cheese Board Then to wash everything down you could go to the bar and order a cocktail from their menu served by their talented bartenders. At the end of the night, we were all given a goodie bag to take away with us, enclosed with a loyalty card so that we can come back and enjoy some exclusive perks! I am so glad that I got to experience this launch night at PocketSquare and try some of what they have on the menu thanks to Hype Experience.
