SeoulBox was created by two friends Suji Sohn and Raj Sathi in 2019, around the time when BTS delighted us with their fabulous Boy With Love song. Suji wanted to show Raj what other wonders Korea held and so the SeoulBox was born. Realising how hard it was to find Korean goodies outside of Korea Suji and Raj decided to do something about this so that all can enjoy Korean culture regardless of where they live! There are three boxes to choose from- SeoulBox Signature, which is a mostly snack based box. In this box you receive - • 18 authentic Korean snacks and goodies • In-depth magazine packed with cultural and culinary insights • a Kpop merch and Kbeauty product • Unique ramen and drinks in every box SeoulBox V, which is the same as the Signature box but is the vegetarian version. And finally SeoulBox Life- which is the box I received. This box is less snack based and is more of an all rounder box in which you receive various items from Korea. This includes- * 8-10 hand-picked Korean goodies * 1 K-Beauty treat * 2 K-Pop merch * 4-5 Korean lifestyle items * 1 gourmet food * Seoulbox Magazine The box I received has a theme of Jeju-Do (or Jeju Island) and the enclosed magazine gives you lots of information, firstly about the items in the box, but also information about Jeju so you learn a bit about the place itself, including places to visit and activities you can do whilst there, fashion and beauty, and speciality dishes unique to the area - this made me want to go there just to try the food! There’s a page with a few Korean words to learn which are related to Jeju too. The contents of the box were a wonderful mix of cute, yummy and practical, useful items. Obviously being a big BTS fan I loved the BTS night stand light, there was also a super cute Black Pink bracelet enclosed. I also received a Mr Bong plush toy- he is a hallabong- a fruit which is a mixture of a tangerine and a persimmon, a Jeju Island water bottle, mouse mat and beach towel, some charcoal toothpaste and two food items- some green tea spread, which is delicious in hot milk and a scrumptious prickly pear tart. My only problem is that my teenage daughter (who was the one who introduced me to K-Pop) and I are fighting over who gets to keep the contents- that’s because we are both SeoulMates!
