Taste of Seoul

As someone who grew up in Seoul, I really appreciated this little memory lane of Korean snacks. The packaging of the snack box was beautiful and modern, which is very important for the potential gift delivery. Although I gifted it to myself, it was still exciting to open a beautifully wrapped care package.

Since working from home like most people these days, I always have a stash of snacks handy around the house. What’s best about this snack box is that it covers all spectrum of flavors including salty, sweet, nutty, and spicy. It was nice to indulge in the huge pile of snack choices that can satisfy my varying appetites. The first thing I opened was Pepero with Jeju Island orange flavor. I think overall it captured the brightness of the citrus flavor pretty well. Jeju Island is a small island that is located in the southernmost part of Korea. It’s like a Korean version of Hawaii and is known for sweet oranges and seafood. There are several petite cookies wrapped individually which are perfect for one serving or to take on the road. I wished that there were more of them since I liked them so much. The mushroom ramen was quite handy when I had nothing to eat for lunch. It was still spicy although I didn’t use all of the red pepper paste. But I’m sure some people will appreciate the spiciness. There are a couple of non-edible surprises like a face mask and a plush toy. The BTS latte is a cool edition which I’m still saving for a perfect moment to pop it open. Overall I think this will be a great holiday gift to any of your friends, especially Asian friends. You will definitely make them squeal with excitement.
