Secret Garden Gin Club
The Secret Garden Distillery is based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The Secret Herb Garden is home to over 600 naturally grown and tended varieties of herbs that are used to create their range of Secret Garden gins.
••• The box I received contains: 1x20cl limited-edition gin 1x5cl sample room gin 1 can of premium tonic 1 hand-harvested garnish ••• My initial thoughts of the box are that it's a beautiful parcel to receive, something you could use each month to find some 'you time'. This would also make a beautiful gift for anyone who enjoys gin or would like to try it. The labels on the bottles have a magical feel to them, they showcase the herbs used in the detail and really make you feel like you're trying something unique. ••• I served the limited edition gin in my favourite glass with a large ice cube and the hand-harvested garnish from the box. The gin is smoked calendula and chamomile and when you smell the drink you get a gentle smokiness that makes you want to taste it. The first sip is smooth on your tongue, with a sweetness from the chamomile with the smokiness, it's a delicate flavour that lingers on your tongue. ••• I have been aware of this distillery for a while and it's on my list to visit next time I head north to Edinburgh. Everything I know about this distillery tells me that when you buy any of their products you're not just buying a gin, you're supporting a business that really cares about the Earth and creating a balance to ensure what they do has a positive impact. ••• "Working hand in hand with nature is a relationship that should be based on give and take. I cannot recommend this gin and distillery enough. Go and check them out, you will not be disappointed.
