The House of Burlesque has truly redefined Burlesque for the 21st century, featuring a unique blend of pin-up, pop, punk and glamour queens! Tempest’s House of Burlesque is the very benchmark of entertainment, providing enjoyment and empowerment all in one. Rejecting the idea that beauty only comes in one size, shape or colour, the show presents people from all backgrounds and celebrates the pinnacle of womanhood without fear or judgment. From the very moment you step into the room, you’re greeted by friendly faces ready to get the show started. The host was an all-round entertainer, interacting with the audience throughout and making it a real immersive experience - and not to mention her incredibly powerful voice! The show then continued with an array of show-stopping dancing, costumes and singing. The main event, of course, featured a pregnant queen strutting her stuff on stage - a real inspiration to be able to see a ‘real’ body in a world where such bodies are not celebrated nearly enough. The audience was truly in awe of her ability to punk rock dance in heels with a bump fit to burst. As if that wasn’t amazing enough, audience members were then selected to partake in a series of dance moves on stage, which certainly spiced things up a bit more! Finally, we were lucky enough to see an amazing couple act, featuring hoola hoops, gymnastics and acrobatics, a real jaw-dropping experience. The show is perfect for anyone looking to indulge in pre-night out fun, or you can stay on after the show to ‘Sway’ the night away until 3am in the room next door. Guests are recommended to wear cocktail attire, seamed stockings, red lipstick, suits, ties, vintage, dandy’s, sparkles, victory rolls and pearls. So put on your Saturday best, crack open a bottle of bubbly and enjoy the cabaret shenanigans! Choose from a variety of package options, but we recommend the exclusive VIP booth/table reserved seating next to the stage area, entry to the show, and complimentary club entry. Perfect for special celebrations and those that like to be close to the performers for a totally unique experience.
