Seafood Delight by the Pier
If you find yourself at Pier 39, a popular tourist attraction in San Francisco, California, you must get your crab fix at the Crab House. The best crab and seafood restaurant with an amazing waterfront view. Crab House is known for it is world-famous “Killer Crab” a 2lb Dungeness crab roasted in a secret garlic sauce.
The restaurant is ideal for a lunch date, and enjoy the best tasting cocktails customized by a friendly bartender like James R. If you love crab, the menu truly caters to crab lovers, but they also have just veggie options as an alternative. It was such a beautiful sunny afternoon, a beautiful view of water and boats near the dock of the pier. San Francisco is typically very cold and foggy, but the clear skies made it possible to view our sea lion friend diving in and out nearby. We enjoyed the natural lighting that came in from the large windows and upbeat music in the background, it created such a cozy and comfortable ambiance. We both love crab and seafood, so it was easy to choose the Killer Combo Sizzling Iron Skillet and Garlic Noodles with added crab for our entrees. As we waited for our entrees, cocktails were necessary. The lemon drop and custom jalapeño tequila drink were superb. We were surprised that a jalapeño tequila exists, and we were truly blown away by the bartender’s remarkable talent at coming up with remarkable drinks. We then realized that to request a surprise custom drink from the bartender it just had to be vodka and tequila. As the waiter, who was also our bartender, came out with the Killer Combo as our first entrée, I could hear the sizzling from the skillet and the smell of wondrous garlic luring at my nose making my mouth water. Following, the garlic noodles were on our table. I dove into the garlic noodles enjoying the crab added to the dish. To our surprise the bartender concocted a Cosmopolitan and a Tequila Moscato, it was not at all a disappointment. Especially with the entrees and the beautiful colors. It was such a delight to try the sauces (including their secret sauce), not only was it colorful visually but was truly flavorful enhancing my taste buds. The crab, mussels, and shrimp were great to dive into but there was no need to wear the bib. We ended the meal with something sweet. With the Crème Brulé Cheesecake, I could not put my fork down. It was smooth, with a rich creamy texture as the caramel part provided a crunchy texture that I genuinely enjoyed. We lost track of time as we enjoyed the delicious food and drinks. We would love to go back and try more things on the menu.
