Ta'Turu has blown our minds with their perfect traditional French crêpes and galettes. We had the signature galettes ‘Ta’Toulousaine’ & ‘Ta’Sandra’.
The base of galettes is made from Buckwheat flour which gives you a different color to plain flour. It is slightly brown when cooked, and it's gluten-free! Ta'Toulousaine is filled with French South oust heavenly duck foie gras, rocket salad, fresh figs, and jam. This dish is an absolute GEM! A perfect balance of sweet, tart, and rich taste of foie gras. The Foie gras texture is buttery, and it instantly melts in your mouth. You can see Arthur gave us such a generous amount of Foie Gras. This dish is worth it, and it is the real deal. Move to the next signature galette, 'Ta'Sandra.' Another mind-blowing dish for Truffles lovers! This savory galette is filled with Brie, Rucola, walnuts, honey truffle, truffle shavings, and rockets. It is such an aromatic, fragrant, and flavorful dish. The melted Brie and honey truffle is well-balanced and bursts your mouth's sweetness and aroma. And again, Arthur has given us a generous amount of the truffles. It is indeed a whole truffle experience. If you are keener on the sweet stuff, you can choose between their signature crepe or a basic crepe. We had Ta'Ivanka. The crepe is filled with a hazelnut lover's dream of Nutella and topped with fresh strawberries and served with whipped cream on the side. Let's move on to the drinks. Ta'Turu has original French lemonade in stock, which is refreshing. I highly recommend trying. We also tried the Maltese drink, which is rare to find in the UK. For alcoholic drinks, we had Normandie cider. It is not as sweet as you would generally expect cider to be, which is excellent. And the last MUST TRY drink is Rossini, made of strawberry purée and Prosecco. It is a refreshing, bubbly drink with a nice kick of strawberry flavor. We will come back here again and try other dishes on the menu.
