Best Lebanese in Holborn
Lebanese food is one of my favorites and I was quite excited when I booked Mira Lebanese for lunch with my friends. It is located in Holborn, 10 min walk from the Regent's park, on a quiet street.
When we entered the restaurant owners Ali and Michael were really welcoming and attentive. They are originally from Lebanon, are really passionate about authentic Lebanese food, and are very proud that their menu contains Lebanese dishes only! The restaurant is nicely laid out and got a warm homely vibe. We had meze and mixed grill - there was a large variety of dishes: houmous, fattoush, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, stuffed vine leaves, moussaka, falafel, grilled lamb, shish tawouk, grilled koftas, and grilled chicken wings. Portions were very generous and it was A LOT of food! All dishes were really tasty, and my favorites were baba ganous which tasted amazing and shish tawouk.- me and my friends agreed it was probably the best one we have ever tasted, it was so flavorsome and tended! We were told marinade is the chef's special secret and it is one of the most popular dishes in the restaurant. Houmous was great as well, whilst it is quite a staple dish, it was deliciously smooth and tangy. Tabbouleh was bursting with flavors and vitamins (greens are great for you!). Falafel was also one of the best ones I tasted - I am usually not a fan of it, but at Mira Lebanese, I found it tasted great. Fattoush was an enormous portion and tasted really good too. I am quite conscious about food and its quality when eating out, and this menu had a lot of good for you dishes, there was a lot of vegetables and good meat - so I was quite pleased as it was both tasty and healthy. We did not have any space for desserts after eating so much, but if you are a fan of baklava - definitely try some, it is delicious! It is one of the best Lebanese restaurants I have been to, and I'll definitely be back!
