Beautifully versatile

Both the Signature Gin and Pink Gin were beautifully presented in a gift box upon arrival with their striking baby pink and black bottles. They look so good paired together that you’d hate to take them out of the box.

Both inside the box as well as on the sleeve you are given a small list of botanicals included as well as their signature serve, which I think is a must as despite living in the age of the internet, the less time we have to search for a recommended/signature serve, the better. The little set would make a desirable gift set for any gin lover with the option of a pink and signature gin, just from the presentation. Signature Gin: Sweet piney and hints of citrus notes on the nose, which is crisp and refreshing. Unlike some of your standard London dry gins, which can include spicy juniper and some hints of citrus underlying. To taste, initially dry, warming juniper-forward gin with sweet pine, a touch of floral sweetness with a touch of dandelion and burdock, which is in no way overpowering like the fizzy drink. This is combined with orange citrus. To finish, warming juniper lingers with subtle hints of lavender and Parma violet. As a G&T, utterly beautiful and the orange elevates the floral palate of the gin and allows for hints of elderberry to flow through alongside the lavender and violets. I loved the G&T so much, I had to see how well the gin worked in a cocktail. Their Gingerbread Sour is gorgeous and easily drinkable. The ginger and pineapple allow for some of the floral undertones of the gin to seep through and compliments the sweet pine and warming juniper. Pink Edition: Inspired by their visit to Tokyo, the cherry blossom colour of the bottle compliments the cherry blossom hints included inside of the bottle. On the nose, warming jumpier is more forward with the floral hints of cherry blossom, hibiscus and rose peek their way through. To taste, initial sweet floral hibiscus and cherry blossom balanced with citrus bursts of lavender ink grapefruit. It’s very light and sweet initially, before warming juniper and aromatic and what seems to be szechuan pepper linger with some hints of rose. Again, fantastic gin but it’s not something I would recommend to those who favour the classic sweet sugary ‘pink’ gin from the super market. Like their signature gin, I had to experiment with their cocktail serves, Gin and Jam for this pink edition. Sweet,, the strawberries 🍓complimented the floral cherry blossom and hibiscus well. Amazingly versatile and I’m looking forward to creating some more serves with what’s left of these gins.
