Easy delicious Cocktails
I’ve had many people mention Edmunds's cocktails over the past year and I’ve always been reluctant to buy them as I was always worried about whether I would like them or not.
This cocktail box has well and truly put my mind at ease. Upon receiving this box, I was greeted by a beautiful rock glass and coupe glass as well as a cocktail shaker and strainer, perfect for serving and shaking these cocktails. The attention to detail included in these boxes is amazing. As you open the box, perfect serve garnishes are supplied along with a cocktail menu of the different cocktails, which are all handmade at the Edmunds headquarters and ready for you to have delivered to your very own home. If that wasn’t enough, to tempt you, Edmunds prides itself on partnering up with Ecology and they have committed to planting a tree for every 1L bottle or mixed 6 pack of their cocktails. The ease of creating these cocktails is truly amazing and they are perfect for those who are nervous home mixologists, who fear wasting ingredients by creating g poor cocktails or those who find the costs of paying for the ingredients not tempting enough to begin experimenting at home. Each of the bottles comes with simple step-by-step instructions on whether to stir, pour, mix or shake, what glass to serve it into as well as the perfect garnish for each of their cocktails. You simply cannot go wrong! Old fashioned A beautiful Bourbon and whisky combination which is sweetened with sugar and aromatic bitter. Sweet syrup and orange notes throughout. A little too sweet for me and I would suggest a touch more of the whisky warmth but bot going to complain as its ease of making it and being able to sip it in the warm sunshine without the fuss truly outways that little tweak. Amaretto sour I can always find it difficult to create a well balanced amaretto sour or a drink which contains amaretto. Too much and it’s overpowering, not enough and you lose some of that beautiful sweetness. Only on a few occasions have I ever managed to get it just right. This is a fine balance of amaretto sweetness and sour of lemon citrus. Refreshing and probably one of my favourites from the collection. Bramble A beautiful twist on one of my favourite classics. Sweet raspberry tartness with additional citrus. Lovely take on a traditional bramble and great for the summer with those berry vibes. I can see others preferring a dash more sweetness but it’s perfect for me. Espresso martini Smooth, velvety and wonderfully fluffy froth. One of the best textures I’ve been greeted with for an espresso martini. Good balance between bitter coffee and sweet syrup. Too often I have an espresso martini, which is far too sweet. The best espresso martini I’ve had in far too long! Wish I had another one! Elderflower Collins A wonderful combination of fresh lemon sour with a delicate elderflower floral undertones with a hint of cucumber. Topped with soda it is a perfect refreshing drink for the summer. Pornstar Martini I’ve left the best cocktail until last. A sharp passion fruit citrus with delicate sweet vanilla syrup. Refreshing and vibrant! I’m looking forward to ordering a few of these bottles again to enjoy over the summer months.
