The Burleighs gift set includes their Signature gin & Pink Edition gin in a 200ml set - the perfect size for travelling and sharing before deciding which full-size bottle to order. It’s a well-presented gift set and would put a smile on any gin lover's face!
The black bottled Burleighs Signature London Dry Gin is smooth and easy to drink. I noticed a strong juniper note and a dash of earthy spice. This isn’t a heavily floral or zesty gin and pairs well with many tonics or mixed into cocktails. I served the Burleighs Signature gin with ice and a slice of orange and juniper berries which really helped the botanical pop! The Burleighs Pink Edition Gin is pink by name but unlike some pink gins, it is clear in shade, the pink coming through in its floral tastes inspired by the cherry blossoms of Tokyo. The Pink Edition serves up floral hints with notes of hibiscus and cherry blossom along with a fruity pink grapefruit. I served the Burleighs Pink Edition with ice and a slice or two of pink grapefruit which added a zest to the floral notes. The Pink Edition was my favourite of the two and has a stronger fruity character with the pink grapefruit hints - however, both were very refreshing to toast the Jubilee Bank Holiday afternoon. I would happily order both again and would definitely recommend the Signature gin & Pink Edition gin twin set as a gift. Burleighs also offer both gins in travel-friendly cans - ideal for festivals.
