Burleighs Raspberry Edition Gin

How stunning is this bottle of Raspberry Edition Gin from Burleighs, which is a Special Edition in the range. The Burleighs Gin Distillery is located in Charnwood Forest in Leicester and the first-ever bottle of Gin was distilled in 2014.

The signature recipe contains botanicals such as elderberry, burdock, silver birch and dandelion, which are found in the ancient Burleighs woodland,, that is now the home and namesake of the distillery. The Raspberry edition is created using the combination of Burleigh's signature botanical recipe with fresh raspberries and peach. The botanicals included are raspberries, peach, juniper and orange peel This Gin has a beautiful pink hue and upon opening the bottle there is a delightful fruity aroma. To taste, there is a soft berry sweetness, whilst still being Juniper forward. I really enjoyed the perfect serve which is 50ml Burleighs Raspberry Edition Gin, Indian Tonic Water, fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint. It is fresh with a mellow sweetness, has citrus undertones with the beautiful natural flavour of raspberries coming through and added subtle sweetness from the peach. It’s refreshing and perfect for sipping on summer days. I also tried a Raspberry Tom Collins which included 50ml Burleighs Raspberry Gin, 25ml Sugar Syrup,, 25ml lemon juice and raspberries, topped with Soda and garnished with lemon slices. A drink which is bursting with raspberry flavour and is sweet and citrusy. This Gin is definitely a special edition and I am looking forward to trying the other Gin’s in the range.
