PopUp painting at the London Art Bar

Painting is something that lots of us would have done as children and I’m sure you’ll remember just how fun it was! That has’t changed, this is the perfect activity to tap back into your creativity and artistry.

Arriving to the class, all the organisers were super friendly and that set the tone for the evening. We were all provided with all the equipment that we needed, an apron, a blank canvas, different sized brushes, water for the brushes and paint. We were advised to be careful with the paint because it does stain clothes and although that’s not the end of the world for most of us, you should wear some clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting a little messy, if that was to be the case. And most importantly, it is the London Art BAR so you’re free to buy alcoholic beverages before and during the interval whilst we waited for the background of our paintings to dry. Red wine and a cocktail accompanied my evening nicely. The painting instructor stood on the stage at the front as we listened and followed his lead on how to paint a city sunset with a black cat in the foreground. The instructor went at a great pace for everyone, it was easy to follow and they came round to provide encouragement, additional help and more paint when needed. I would definitely recommend this activity if you want a creative but very chilled evening. It definitely makes your inner child happy!
