Marvelous Marabú

From the moment I walked in, I felt as if I had time travelled to Cuba. With a beautiful outdoor/indoor seating area, the detailed decorations made the place lively and full of that Cuban charisma.

The Miami spice menu was the perfect dinner menu. Aside from the plantain chips for the table, we started with tostones and ceviche. Their tostones were cupped into bowls and we had 3 options: ropa vieja, shrimp and picadillo. Each bite was deliciously flavorful. For some Peruvian flare, the ceviche did not disappoint, large portions of fresh-cut ceviche and calamari decorated the plate with mouth-watering tiger milk, corn & sweet potatoes. Now, completely satisfied with the apps, we were ecstatic for the main course. We ordered the churrasco and the 1/2 chicken. As for sides, we opted for Moro with yuca (fried and boiled) and classic rice and beans. Starting with the skirt steak; the meat was cooked to perfection and the chimichurri sauce was exquisite. The 1/2 chicken looked more like a whole chicken! I was shocked when I saw my place and already knew I would have some leftovers. The roasted mushroom and potato sauce takes this dish to the next level! Finally my favorite part: dessert! We had tried the Flan de queso and the bread pudding. I can genuinely say both exceeded expectations! the flan was adorned with walnuts which tied the flavor together. The bread pudding was like no other I’ve ever had. The fluffy bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was the perfect combination. I truly loved my experience at Marabú, from the vibrancy of the room to the service and the food; it was spectacular!
