This glass, The Hisame, has firmly become my favourite. It comes beautifully packaged in the original branded wooden casing and is bubble wrapped on the inside for extra protection. The added coaster is a lovely addition to the packaging. The Hisame Glasses are handmade using the Edo Kiriko craftsman technique that has been used for more than 2 Centuries. This particular glass is also designed to resemble the Ice Storms (Hisame “Ice Rain” in Japanese) of Northern Japan, which is beautifully done. The beauty of this glass is when your whiskey is poured, the dimpled surface gives it a lovely golden glow and the textured surface of the glass with a wide mouth allows for appreciation of the aroma as you sip the whiskey. This glass is priced at £27, a little on the expensive side but absolutely worth every penny. It would make the perfect gift for any whiskey lover and is a great addition to the drinks cabinet.
