Wild Thyme Spirits - Gin and Jewellery
There is nothing more appealing than stunningly presented Gin bottles and this presentation box by Wild Thyme Spirits is exactly that.
In 2016, husband and wife team, Finlay and Eileen Geekie, packed up their belongings and left Oxfordshire, their home of over 30 years and moved to the remote Hebridean island of Colonsay to start a new life. Wild Thyme Spirits allows them to make a significant contribution to the community, the development of the island, as well as its future sustainability. The Wild Thyme Spirits Presentation Box Set No 20 has two sections. The lower section of the box contains three 10cl bottles which include, Colonsay Gin, Colonsay Cait Sith Gin and Colonsay Bramble Gin Liqueur. The upper section is a three-compartment removable jewellery tray, which is a perfect size to store jewellery. To taste, Colonsay Gin is juniper forward with peppery notes and is smooth and earthy with some spice and citrus. The recommended serve is over ice with a Premium Tonic and garnished with a twist of orange zest or a slice of green chilli. Cait Sith is the Wild Thyme Spirits' version of an Old Tom Gin with citrus and vanilla. I tried the recommended serve, which is over ice with a Premium Tonic and garnished with a large slice of pink grapefruit and it is smooth, sweet and zesty. It can also be served as a spritzer with lemonade or soda water. The Bramble Liqueur is created by infusing Colonsay Gin with Brambles. The recommended serves are neat over ice or with Champagne or Prosecco. It can also be served with Fevertree Elderflower Tonic, which I tried and is sweet, warming and fruity. This is a beautiful presentation box that would also make a lovely gift.
