Crosstown Ice Cream to start the day!

Is it a doughnut shop? Is it a coffee shop? Is it an ice cream stand? Well, it’s all of them! There are doughnuts, coffee and ice cream sold in this small and unusually shaped covered stand in the heart of Victoria, and it's called Crosstown Victoria. However, they also have stores all over the city, and even an online store where they sell more than just food, so they're a big deal! In this location, there are some seatings available - mainly outdoors, and a table of 2 indoors; hence it is more suited for takeaway. Unless you're lucky to get a sunny day (especially in London)!

We were there after a workout session to try the ice cream set of 6 (yes, at 10 am). The moment I looked at the menu to pick my ice cream selection, I knew these calories were going to be well spent! There were 12 flavours to choose from, and it took us quite a while to make our pick as all of them looked enticing. But one thing I was sure of, I had to try the spiced pumpkin cake, as it was seasonal and I'm a huge fan of pumpkin spice! We ended up with Crosstown Cookie Dough, Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt, Peanut Butter and Blackcurrant, Coconut and Passion Fruit Ripple, Pistachio and, as mentioned above, Spiced Pumpkin Pie. Everything we tried was lip-smackingly delicious, however to my surprise, my favourite turned out to be Crosstown Cookie Dough as I love ice creams with texture and this flavour certainly had more cookie chunks than ice cream to munch on! Plus one could also tell that the cookie dough was made with quality ingredients and, hopefully, lots of love! My friend enjoyed Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt, she claims it's 'legit'. I assume that's a huge compliment since she's a chocolate aficionado. The service too was great! As the lady at the counter was very patient (I felt we took an embarrassingly long time to decide on the selection!) and she gave us a stack of spoons and napkins knowing we'll probably get 'messy' doing our food review (or just by eating so much ice cream in general). Ideally, they would also provide dry ice though, then we would be able to take it elsewhere to enjoy or keep some for later. But luckily the weather was somewhat semi-perfect (with the sun playing peek-a-boo throughout the day), and we were famished after our workout, so we were still able to enjoy our ice cream (yes, all of them!) at their outdoor seating area. I highly recommend Crosstown, and next time we want to try their doughnuts and coffee too, which I'm sure would be equally awesome!
