New Autumnal Crosstown Doughnut Selection
Let’s start with the fact that now summer is over we can jump into the season of comfort food. What better way to start than indulging in Crosstown's new batch of Autumn Specials for 2022.
Their new doughnut range includes exciting new vegan and pumpkin flavours this year. For a bit of background, Crosstown is a doughnut specialist bakery and coffee shop, originally from Soho but now spread across London, from Victoria to Spitalfields. A large selection of their doughnuts is made with sourdough, and everything from their doughnuts to cookies to ice cream is made in-house! They even have doughnut vans in Spitalfields and London Bridge to make sure you're never too far away from the superb fluffy delicious, flavour packed and luxurious sweet treats. So let's get onto the new flavours for Autumn 2022: Pumpkin Cake - Is a delightful autumnal flavour to please the masses. It is a homemade pumpkin cake doughnut, filled with luscious dulce de leche, generously dipped in a sweet pumpkin glaze, and then topped with roasted pumpkin ribbons. The texture was pleasingly different and spongy and a surefire hit! Spiced Pumpkin (ve) - This doughnut is an award-winning vegan sourdough, enriched with roasted pumpkin and filled with festive spiced pumpkin custard. It is hand-dipped in pumpkin glaze and then finished with an oaty crumble. The custard was superbly flavoured with pumpkin puree and that hint of cinnamon was super warming to paint the picture of autumn cosy days. Dark Chocolate Truffle (ve) - This is a vegan sourdough ring doughnut with a dark chocolate ganache and indulgent, luxurious dark chocolate truffle filling. This was one for the chocoholics. The truffle filling was thick and generous with dark chocolate and one you will be not wanting to share! You will want to take all of them home so be prepared when you get there to buy a box full!
