When it comes to coffee, the minimum expectation is a caffeine-inspired pick me up, usually at the late afternoon lull when you’re trying to finish up the day’s work without dozing off. Then here comes Lifeboost, which promises not only the expected caffeine boost but a pure, healthy, organic, clean and low-acid brew that’s good for you.
I was very skeptical as I’ve tried other brands at fancy grocery stores and purchased packages of beans at a number of well-known coffee shops that promised as such. I’ve have been left disappointed, with a sense of dissatisfaction and wanting. Usually, it’s that strange soury aftertaste which reminds me that something good for you can’t possibly taste good. At first grind, the medium roast beans had a nice subtle aroma, not too overwhelming, but just enough to tantalize the senses. I used a French press to maximize the richness and retain the oils that might otherwise go amiss. My first whiff of the cup of brew revealed a subtle, woodsy aroma. The experience was quite exciting and as stated, Lifeboost kept its promise of low acidity In the coffee. No sour aftertaste was definitely a winner in my book. The nutty, earthy flavor was mild and enjoyable though some might opt for the dark roast for a bolder, toastier taste. I’m encouraged to try the other varieties and share my discovery with other fellow coffee lovers, and when brewing at home or the office, delighted to share this quality product one cup at a time.
