Japanese postwar Photography

There’s a great photography exhibition happening at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art—Japanese Photography from Postwar to Now! After World War II, Japan started to produce camera and film equipment, which also meant there was a large amateur photography culture. The exhibition highlights SFMOMA’s collection of Japanese photos, including the important donation of the Kurenboh Collection, Tokyo. This one’s a real insight into Japanese life in the 60s and well worth a look! Members go free.
