Frozen Dumplings Delivery by Daddy Bao!
I’m really looking forward to be able to meet friends again for dim sum and enjoy sharing plates and plates of delicious food. Sometimes though you just want a whole dish to yourself! For dumpling fans, Daddy Bao in Tooting has bags of frozen dumplings available for delivery so you can have a feast whenever you feel like it. You can choose from pork, prawn, chicken or veggie.
I had the opportunity to try these out and received 2 bags of frozen dumplings - one with chicken and one with prawns. The bags held 20 pieces each and were sturdy and resealable, with the contents labelled on the front and cooking instructions on the back. I also received a few portions of their house chilli oil - yum! It’s recommended to use a bamboo steamer, but as I don't have one, I used a metal steamer instead. As instructed, I lined the bottom of the steamer with some greaseproof paper perforated with a fork to stop the dumplings sticking. In went the dumplings for 8 minutes whilst I got a frying pan ready with some oil to crisp up the bottoms. They made a lovely sizzle as they went in! Both sets of dumplings were delicious and succulent, and went well with the house chilli oil. If you prefer more heat, then sriracha goes well with these. I particularly enjoyed the prawn ones as I’m a big seafood fan and loved the chunks of prawns inside. It felt very indulgent having a whole plate to myself! It really couldn’t have been easier to make these and it was great knowing that I still had plenty left over in the freezer for more meals in the future. The frozen dumplings are now available on Daddy Bao’s delivery menu via Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. Why not add a bag or two to your next order for when you fancy a night in?
