The Octō candle has always caught my eye in local shops (I mean, that branding.. ) and I always like to support local. These hand made, soy wax candles are made using only natural, vegan and cruelty-free ingredients. They have a small team who undertake the entire process so there is great care and attention to detail. Not to mention the delightful little jars that they come in that I plan to reuse.
I decided to go for Bergamot, Lavender and Eucalyptus & Peppermint as I love all of these as essential oils in their own right. I’m quite mindful of anything I burn in my house and love that these candles are 100% free of artificial fragrances. I started off with Bergamot which I had burning throughout an evening. It completely warmed up the room in a cozy, spicy hug with such a clean scent. I usually diffuse lavender right before bed so I lit this one in my bedroom an hour before crashing out. It filled the room with its soothing aroma and was such a relaxing way to sink into the sheets. Eucalyptus & Peppermint definitely has a bit more of a bite as both of these scents are quite powerful in their own right. I have always loved using eucalyptus essential oil when I have a stuffy nose as it really helps open the passage ways. Peppermint is a lovely accompaniment that also purifies the air so I loved burning this candle when I had a sinus cold as it helped me breathe deeply again. You can tell the love put into this product as they all burn brightly, beautifully and cleanly. I would definitely buy these again for myself or as a gift as they look as good as they smell.
